Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the influence of Authentic Transformational Leadership behavior on Emotional Intelligence with two intervening variables: Value Congruence and Trust of the teachers and
employees at Muhammadiyah Primary Schools using Forward Bass & Avolio Theory. The quantitative approach is used in this research. The samples in this study are 55 employees and 110 teachers. The findings indicate that
Authentic Transformational Leadership behavior has a significant direct effect on Emotional Intelligence. The
significant influence is also shown by intervening variables: Value Congruence (positive), and Trust
(negative). For further studies, it is recommended to conduct similar studies in Muhammadiyah high schools,
considering there are differences in the curriculum and the emotional maturity of students and teachers.
