Abstract
Covid-19 pandemics occur almost all over the world causing activities that involve many people to be avoided, one of which is teaching and learning activities. In Indonesia since March 2020, the learning process at tertiary institutions has changed to online / distance learning. This is to prevent the spread of covid-19. Online learning by students raises several obstacles including poor signals, a lot of assignments, lack of focus, difficulty sleeping so it causes stress on students. This study aims to determine the effect of online learning on student academic stress during the covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is analytic observational with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in April 2020 with undergraduate students respondents on Java Island with a total of 285 respondents. Retrieval of data using a questionnaire distributed in the form of a google form about online learning information and academic stress. Data analysis used logistic regression analysis test. The results showed that online learning affected academic stress during the co-19 pandemic. Online learning needs to be supported with facilities and infrastructure, readiness and skills of lecturers so that academic stress on students can be avoided.
