Perilaku konsumsi mahasantri dalam perspektif ekonomi Islam: studi kasus di Pondok Pesantren Fadllillah Waru Sidoarjo dan Al Jihad Wonocolo Surabaya

This study aims to describe the consumption behavior of Mahasantri Pondok Pesantren Fadllillah Waru Sidoarjo and Al-Jihad Wonocolo Surabaya with an analysis of Islamic economic perspectives. This research uses a comparative study approach with a qualitative type of research. Data sources are obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants are the Chairman of the Foundation, the Board of Lodges, and Mahasantri. Data processing techniques are carried out through editing, organizing, and analyzing. As for testing the validity of the data through triangulation. In this study, it was found that the consumption behavior of Mahasantri Fadllillah and Al-Jihad is still not able to place according to their needs, this is because there are still many Mahasantri who behave consumptively, namely still prioritizing their appetite for consumption.
