Abstract
In fact Islamic boarding schools are potential institutions to grow up into a kind of public economy. Therefore it needs accurate analizing of carry out the economy empowering. The last target of economic empowering of Islamic boarding schools is their own independence. As the time goes by, Islamic boarding schools are always labelled as aid proposal agent. They would be relieved from that problem while their economic condition is getting stronger. The writer has conducted exploratory study to preserve valuable heritage of Mambaus Sholihin Moslem Scholars, and to promote the heritage in ecomic system so that it can exist in the age of advanced development After a dialogue with the local people, and the stakeholder of Mambaus Sholihin islamic boarding school, it can be concluded that the boarding school needs to perform empowerment on some aspects, expecially in economic aspects, using Islamic Economy System as basic structure of developing. ie.: holding training entitled "Empowering Economy of Islamic Boarding School Based on Sharia", reconstructing management organitition in economic roles, improving economic infrastructures, and establishing Bayt al-Mal wa Tamwil (BMT).
