Dhimmi dalam perspektif hukum Islam dan HAM

Abstrak: Islam views Dhimmi in a social community based on human values and justice. These values are consis' tent with human rights. Their religiosity is not harrassed. In view of the chronological development of Istamic history, human is always released from the deterioration of dignity caused by protonged and seerningly endless war. Long before the pmsence of Istam, sovereignity was based on wild law, in whir-h competition among tribes and prevalling forces was always colored with roughness, and the stronger was eager to beat and conquer the weaker.
